Abeer Abu Touq

Jordanian journalist specializing in digital media, with over 15 years of experience in content development, digital platform management, and building institutional media identities. Abeer is interested in issues related to women’s empowerment in the media, combating digital violence, and developing young people’s professional skills. She also serves as President of the Alumni Association of the “Women in News” program – Jordan, where she leads training initiatives and professional support networks for women journalists. In 2025, she received the “Mulhim” Award in the Journalism category in Jordan in recognition of her prominent role and impact in the field.

Adeela Shahen

Iraqi investigative journalist with 15 years of experience in the media field. Adeela has received several local and international journalism awards and has produced numerous reports and investigative pieces on environmental issues and marginalized groups. She is also an environmental activist.

Amel Yahia

Sudanese journalist and member of the Sudanese Journalists Syndicate, she works with a number of Sudanese newspapers. In her work, Amal focuses on covering humanitarian and social issues, with particular emphasis on gender-based violence and peacebuilding. Through her journalism, Amal seeks to amplify the voices of communities affected by crises and to highlight humanitarian challenges, as well as stories of resilience and recovery.

Aya Mansour

Iraqi journalist, writer, and researcher specialized in investigative journalism and in-depth reporting. Her work focuses on women’s issues, the environment, social justice, and war survivors in Iraq. She is a published author, and she is a recipient of the KAICIID Fellowship for Dialogue Journalism

Badra Dabbabi

Tunisian journalist and fact-checker, holding a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s degree in investigative journalism from the Institute of Press and Information Sciences in Tunis. She works with the “Hiya Tahaqaq” platform, the first platform specializing in gender-focused fact-checking covering the Maghreb region.

Baraa Salibi

Syrian journalist, social and humanitarian activist, with a distinct focus on women's issues. She serves as a consultant for several international organizations and media institutions. She was the Head of Radio Reporting Section at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Syria. And the Director of Al Aan Radio in Dubai, UAE . She producer and content developer, she has contributed to the production of more than 20 podcasts.

Doaa AlZobaudi

Iraqi journalist and podcast producer and host, working on creating journalistic content that highlights social and human rights issues from a human-centered perspective, and contributes to raising awareness about women’s rights and the challenges faced by marginalized groups.

ِEman Ouf

Egyptian journalist, member of the Journalists’ Syndicate Council, and rapporteur of the Women’s Committee and the Freedoms Committee. She works as an Assistant Secretary-General and is a member of the Settlements Committee and the Appeals and Registration Committee. She is interested in economic and social rights.

Emtethan Abdul Fadeel

Sudanese journalist with more than seven years of experience, during which she has worked for a number of print and online newspapers. She covers humanitarian issues, gender, and human rights, with a particular focus on the impact of conflicts on local communities. Her work emphasizes amplifying marginalized voices, and she strives to practice journalism that is more just and gender-sensitive.

Enaam Al-Noor

Sudanese journalist working as an editor in in Darfur. She has produced multible in-depth reports on women’s issues in Africa along with pieces related to human rights.

Enas Kamal

Egyptian journalist covering women’s rights, society, art, culture, and more. She has received four honorary awards, the most recent is for highlighting the issues of girls and young women from the Ministry of Social Solidarity, in cooperation with Plan International. Esraa Abdelhafez

Egyptian journalist, writer, and social and political researcher with extensive experience in writing and reporting on public social and political affairs. Through her work, she sheds light on the critical issues facing our societies, with a particular focus on women’s issues. She consistently seeks to enrich public discourse with new ideas through articles and research in which she offers in-depth insights into existing challenges and available opportunities.

Fatima Ahmad

Syrian journalist and researcher specializing in women’s issues and marginalized communities. She writes for several Arab platforms, and has received the Best Article Award from “A Syrian Voice” as part of the “100 Voices Against Hate Speech” campaign in its fifth edition.

Gudeer Mustafa

Syrian journalist with several years of experience in content writing, report preparation, and field coverage, in addition to video editing and graphic design. She has collaborated with a number of media organizations, including the Syrian Female Journalists Network, The Syrian Voice, Idlib Plus, and Ayni Ainek Agency, where she covered a wide range of humanitarian and social issues.

Hager Hesham

Award-winning Egyptian data journalist, trainer, and founder of the Anmat initiative. Hager has contributed to the production of investigative and multimedia projects with organizations such as the BBC and ARIJ, and has trained dozens of journalists in collaboration with the Egyptian Journalists Syndicate, MiCT, and Birzeit University. Her work combines investigative journalism with analytical depth, focusing on transforming complex data into clear, evidence-based stories.

Hanan Tayeb

An award-winning Sudanese investigative journalist, interested in human rights and humanitarian issues, as well as women’s, children’s, and persons with disabilities’ issues, in addition to environmental and climate concerns. Hanan has more than 15 years of experience. She is a co-founder of the organization Journalists for Children and a member of the Arab Women Organization at the League of Arab States, as well as several bodies concerned with human rights and childhood.

Hiba Jabbar AlMajed

An Iraqi journalist with ten years of experience. She has worked for both local and international media outlets, focusing on covering social and political issues, women’s and children’s rights, in addition to environmental topics.

Hoda Fayek

Egyptian journalist and content producer with 20 years of experience. She currently serves as Society Desk Editor at Al Manassa, where she delivers in-depth journalistic coverage of social issues—particularly women’s issues—through a progressive feminist lens. Previously, Hoda worked as a producer at CBC Sofra under United Media Services for many years, and held key editorial roles at Al Sabah Newspaper and Al Khamis Newspaper, in addition to her work with Islam Online. She is a graduate of the Faculty of Mass Communication at Cairo University (Class of 2004), and combines expertise in end-to-end television production, professional journalism editing, and digital content strategy.

Sudanese journalist specializing in the environment and climate change, and a professional trainer holding a Training of Trainers (ToT) certification. She is the founder of the “Towards a Strong Green Society” initiative and the Climate Forum, and she represents Sudan in the Arab Network for Science Journalism.

Ilham Houari

Algerian journalist, news presenter and producer, and digital content creator. She covers economic issues, public policy, social affairs, as well as women’s issues.

Imen Mezrigui

Tunisian journalist, producer and host of the radio program A Little Law ("Shwayet Qanoun") on Kerman Radio, and a correspondent for both Tuwansa online news platform and News news website. An independent political activist and community advocate who believes in the importance of civic participation and fostering constructive dialogue. She serves as the National Coordinator of the Rural Women's Association in Jendouba, where she works to support and empower rural women, advocate for their economic and social rights, and promote their role in sustainable development.

Inas Al-Wandi

Iraqi journalist and human rights advocate from the Kurdish Feyli community. Her work focuses on social and political issues, violence against women, and folk heritage. She publishes articles on several platforms, most notably Modern Discussion and Tanawwu News, and has previously worked with a number of news websites and media agencies, including KirkukNow.

Istabraq Alzubaydi

Iraqi journalist and editor-in-chief of the Iraq Media Platform, specializing in humanitarian and environmental journalism, with a particular focus on issues affecting women, minorities, and marginalized groups in Diyala Province. She began her journalism career in 2018 and has worked with a number of local and international media platforms and institutions. She is the recipient of the 2023 Qareeb Journalism Award.

khawla Chabbeh

Tunisian journalist with over 15 years of professional experience in journalism, having worked in the field since 2011. She has collaborated with several Tunisian media outlets, including Al Charaa Al Magharibi newspaper, Jadal news website, and Attounissia Net. For ten years, she served as Coordinator of the Monitoring Unit at the Center for Professional Safety of the National Syndicate of Tunisian Journalists (SNJT), where she contributed to monitoring and documenting violations against journalists, as well as preparing reports and policy recommendations to strengthen the protection of press freedom. For more than 12 years, she has worked as a trainer specializing in journalists' safety, human rights violations monitoring, freedom of expression, and digital safety. She is currently establishing Haqqha, a digital media organization dedicated to women's economic empowerment. The initiative aims to produce high-quality content and knowledge that enable women to access information, resources, and opportunities related to economic independence and entrepreneurship.

Maab Al-Mirghani

Sudanese journalist and refugee based in Kenya, specializing in Sudanese economic affairs, human rights issues, and feminist topics, with a particular focus on the impact of crises, conflicts, and wars—especially on women and children. She co-founded the Sudanese Journalists Syndicate and ran for membership in the Forty Council. She has worked with Al-Jarida newspaper and Sudanese 24 channel as a researcher and producer, and has also collaborated with the Factual Center for Investigative Journalism, Ater weekly magazine, and several online news platforms, including Jubraka News, Sudans Post, and Al-Rakoba. Maab is a member of the Sudanese Journalists Network, the Sudanese Journalists Syndicate, and the Sudanese Women Media Professionals Network.

Malaz Isam

Sudanese feminist journalist and writer, specialized in investigative journalism and in-depth reporting, with an interest in science journalism, environmental issues, and human rights–related topics.

Marina Mansour

Syrian feminist journalist, graduate of the Faculties of Media and Pharmacy at Damascus University, and holder of a Master’s degree in International Humanitarian Law from the Syrian Virtual University. She works as a voice-over commentator, program producer, and presenter at the “Rozana” platform. She also works in print journalism with several websites, including “Sout Souri” and “Raseef 22,” and focuses in her work on women’s rights and transitional justice.

Maryam Al-Fartousi

Iraqi journalist, Executive Director of the Al-Yas Foundation for Women’s and Children’s Rights, and President of the Future Journalists Platform. Maryam holds a Master’s degree in Tourism Geography and has published several works, including Tales of Iron and Walls: Lives Behind Bars. In addition, she has written journalistic reports in the fields of women’s and children’s rights and environmental justice.

Maysaa Atwi

Lebanese journalist specializing in economic affairs and a member of the Union of Women Journalists and Journalists in Lebanon. She has received several awards in the field of journalism and has worked with a variety of local and international media organizations. She has extensive experience in covering and analyzing economic and financial issues at both the national and international levels. In addition to her professional work, she is pursuing her academic career as a PhD candidate in Media and Communication Studies.

Meriam Nasri

Tunisian journalist and field correspondent specializing in investigative journalism and multimedia reporting. She has more than 15 years of professional experience in field and editorial work, during which she collaborated with prominent Arab and international media organizations such as Qatar News Agency, Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, and Ultra Tunisia. She was awarded first prize in investigative journalism in the Human Rights category, with support from Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism (ARIJ).

Mona Hamdan

Lebanese journalist working in editing and linguistic proofreading with several news websites. She is a writer specialized in human rights, gender issues, and gender-based violence. She writes for a number of Lebanese and Arab outlets, including An-Nahar newspaper, Daraj, Raseef22, and Manateq.net. She has participated in the production, preparation, and writing of political and talk shows, as well as documentary films, with media institutions including BBC Arabic Television, Future TV, and Union Media.

Mona Yousry

Egyptian journalist and researcher based in Tunisia. She studied political economy and has worked in in-depth journalism through several investigative and long-form projects. Her writing focuses on critical analysis and attention to local and regional contexts, with a particular emphasis on the narratives of marginalized communities and on approaching journalism through the lens of the social sciences. Her work centers on print journalism and translation, as well as podcast production and development, and documentary filmmaking.

Monira Balloush

Syrian journalist, a graduate of the Faculty of Media and Journalism at the University of Damascus in 2011. She covered the events of the Syrian revolution in Idlib and northern Syria after being forcibly displaced in 2016. She worked in print journalism with several news websites and media outlets, including Fox Aleppo, Syria 24, Hibr Newspaper, Line 30, among others, as well as TRT Arabic.

Muzna Muhammad

Independent Sudanese journalist, a refugee in Uganda. Interested in covering and documenting issues related to human rights violations, particularly those affecting women and children in Sudan in the aftermath of the war.

Nagham Maki

Iraqi journalist from Basra, she dedicates her efforts to writing reports and investigative pieces that serve women’s issues, society, and the environment in southern Iraq. As a member of the “Women Journalists for Climate” network, Nagham is committed to creating positive change through feminist, professional journalism, with a focus on the impact of environmental changes on the most marginalized groups.

Nahila Salameh

Lebanese independent journalist specializing in women’s issues and marginalized groups. Her journalistic work focuses on feminist and intersectional approaches to addressing issues of gender, gender-based violence, displacement, and social justice. She holds Training of Trainers certificates in “Freedom of Religion and Belief” from Adyan Foundation, and in “Effective Bystander Intervention for Journalists” from (GIZ), in addition to a Training of Trainers program on “Gender-Based Violence” from Abaad. Nahla is an associate member of the Syndicate of Journalists in Lebanon.

Nemat has an academic background in economics and political science, along with extensive experience in humanitarian work.

Nermin Abbas

Syrian investigative journalist specializing in public affairs, property rights, and the healthcare sector. She has produced in-depth reports addressing complex legal issues such as forced displacement and war crimes. Nirmin holds a bachelor’s degree in media and has received advanced training in digital investigation (OSINT) and data verification.

Noha Abeer

Egyptian journalist, visual artist, and field researcher, as well as a workshop facilitator. She has worked in the field of sexual and reproductive health and rights.

Nouha Salloum

Syrian broadcast journalist with a master’s degree in media and international relations. She lives in Germany and works as a broadcaster at Cosmo Radio in the Arabic section of Germany’s First Channel. Noha is a feminist activist whose work focuses on intersectional feminism.

Nour Owiss

Palestinian journalist and lawyer specializing in human rights and gender. She has more than 11 years of experience working with affected communities and refugees in Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, and Turkey, and covering stories of women and marginalized groups' stories. Noor produces rights-based content through writing and podcasting to promote legal awareness and shed light on issues related to justice and human rights.

ٍRabaa Abo Hanna

Independent Sudanese journalist who writes for several Sudanese newspapers, including Al-Tayar and Al-Jareeda, in addition to a number of online platforms such as Mashawir and Al-Aan News. Rabia is a member of the Sudanese Journalists Network and the Women Journalists’ Union within the Sudanese Human Rights Network.

Egyptian journalist researcher and specializing in gender issues, digital rights, and freedom of expression, with experience in producing research and media content and managing digital campaigns. She has worked on the intersections of gender, class, and the digital sphere, and has contributed research and journalistic work with civil society organizations and independent media platforms. She is interested in applying critical feminist approaches in analysis and public policy.

Rajaa Hameed Rashid

Iraqi journalist, and women's rights activist. She has received awards for her work addressing violence against women. She serves as an advisor at the Nama Foundation for Media Training and is a trainer in digital security. Additionally, she is a correspondent for the Women’s News Agency in the Middle East and the editor and host of a recurring women's program titled "Hawaa's Stories" at the Majid Gallery Forum in Baghdad.

Safaa Essam

Yemeni journalist and researcher in international criminal law with experience in news editing and the production of media and humanitarian content. She has worked as a news editor and senior researcher, contributing to the preparation and production of political and humanitarian programs and reports for various media channels and platforms. She also collaborates with media institutions and organizations to produce content focused on human rights and humanitarian issues, alongside her expertise in program development, scriptwriting, and voice-over narration. She holds a Master’s degree in International Criminal Law, which strengthens her professional approach to human rights and humanitarian issues through an integrated media and legal perspective.

Saida Ali Adam

Sudanese journalist with a Master's degree in Media Studies from Omdurman Islamic University. She works as a freelance journalist for several news outlets, including Al-Sayha newspaper, Al-Intibaha newspaper, and online platforms such as United Pens and the Egyptian website Al-Mohager. She is particularly interested in reporting on refugee and internally displaced persons (IDP) issues, as well as women's and children's rights. Since 2010, Saadia has covered conflict zones in North Darfur. She also served as a lecturer in the Department of Media at University of Al Fashir.

Sali Jaber

Lebanese journalist and university professor specializing in environmental issues and sustainable development. Her work combines scientific research with journalism, with a focus on making scientific knowledge accessible and using the media to raise environmental awareness and foster informed discussion about contemporary environmental challenges. She has published articles and scientific research in the fields of environmental science and environmental chemistry, and has participated in academic and media conferences and events. She believes that science and environmental journalism serve as an effective bridge between scientific research, policymakers, and society.

Sana Adouni

Tunisian journalist specializing in investigative journalism and in-depth reporting, and the recipient of several international awards in this field. She covers issues related to information security, social justice, and women’s rights, with a focus on sensitive and underreported topics within the Tunisian context. She has produced investigations that have sparked public debate and prompted institutional action. Alongside her journalistic work, she works on developing communication strategies with several non-governmental organizations. Sudanese journalist, one of the founders of the Sudanese Journalists' Union and a member of it, and a member of the Sudanese Women Journalists’ Association. She writes for several print and online newspapers.

Shaimaa Samy

Independent Egyptian journalist and the founder and programs director of the Madad Initiative, which focuses on supporting migrant and refugee communities between Egypt and Europe. She works at the intersection of human rights, migration, and the rights of marginalized groups. She writes regularly in international outlets about European policies and the state of human rights in the Middle East and North Africa region.
